Why we exist

We built Fixstead to fix that. Every listing here is a genuine renovation opportunity, so buyers can stop scrolling and start planning. It is the place to find a project worth taking on.

Every listing, verified

We check every listing before it goes live. If a property is not a genuine fixer-upper, it does not get published. That means when you browse Fixstead, you are looking at real projects, not a general property feed with the occasional renovation mixed in. It is a simple promise, and it is the heart of what we do: projects, not polish.

Built for the whole journey

Fixstead is more than a place to list and browse. Buyers can filter by the exact kind of project they want, from cosmetic refreshes to full structural rebuilds, and use our calculators to estimate renovation costs and transfer fees before making a move. Sellers, whether private home owners or estate agents, can list a property in minutes for a single flat fee, and reach buyers who are actively looking for exactly what they have.

How it works

For sellers: create a listing, pay a flat R299 listing fee, and our team verifies it is a genuine fixer-upper before it goes live. If it is not, you are refunded in full.

For buyers: browse verified renovation properties, filter by location, type and the specific work needed, estimate your costs, and request a viewing directly from the person or agency who listed it.

We are a listing platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not an estate agent, we do not take commission, and the sale itself happens directly between the two parties.
